2009-10-13
The Swedish vitamin beverage company “Vitamin Well” won the prize for “Product of the Year” at Pressbyrån last week. Pressbyrån is one of Sweden’s biggest convenience chains with 326 convenience shops geographically located throughout the Country.
The prize was given with the words;
“To successfully position a new product in a mature market with established players which the customer wants and retailers embrace is a remarkable achievement. But when product sales actually increase the size of the market sector rather than stealing market share from others, your credibility is truly established - Winner of Product of the Year at Pressbyrån 2009 – Vitamin Well”
Vitamin Well also received the nomination as “Product of the Year” at 7-eleven, Sweden’s biggest urban convenience chain with 190 convenience shops located in urban locations and at gas station forecourts throughout the Swedish roads.
-It’s incredible how far we’ve come during these seventeen months. We have secured the distribution in Sweden and we have begun to establish our market presence in the Nordic countries. The success is not only due to the functionality of the products. It’s also a result of the design of the product which is developed in cooperation with advertising agency WatersWidgren\TBWA and the design agency Neumeister, says Jonas Pettersson, CEO.
Vitamin Well´s products are non-carbonated drinks with additional vitamins and minerals that are part of the body's natural metabolism and substances known to be healthy. The drinks are developed with the starting point of well established knowledge together with PhD, MD Stefan Arver, a physiologist, endocrinologist and specialist of the body's metabolic and regulatory systems. The drinks are made in Sweden and in addition to being functional the drinks should taste great and work as an healthy alternative to soda, juices and other thirst quenchers.
